Brice Benefiel and his team Outdoor X-Treme Adventure established themselves as a team to watch in 2001 by their seventh place finish in last October's Fogdog 48 Hour Adventure Race. They see SealSkinz as an important component of their success.
"The winds at FogDog were over 40 mph and the water temperature was less than 50 degrees. My fingers are always the first things to get cold, but my SealSkinz kept me very comfortable," Brice says, "It was a 21 mile paddle, but the gloves fit so well and the gripper dots are so effective that I didn't have any problem keeping a tight hold on my paddle."
This year, Benefiel and Team Outdoor X-Treme Adventure will be competing in Idaho's Four Winds USA Supreme Adventure Race, their first Full Expedition Race. The young Southern California team remains undaunted.
"I'm very confident with what we've been doing and I'm very happy to have SealSkinz on our side. These socks and gloves keep us, warm, dry, and blister-free, which leaves me more focused on the race."
